Getting Around

Visitors landing at San Andros or Andros Town airports can explore the northern mainland of Andros on 65 miles of uninterrupted road, stretching from Morgan’s Bluff to Behring Point. Rental cars are available in the major settlements; daily rates are $70.00-$85.00 for cars and $120.00 for vans. Taxis are readily available in all major settlements and are routinely stationed at the airports to meet incoming flights, and at the docks for the ferry and mail boats. A free ferry service is provided twice daily between Lisbon Creek (Mangrove Cay) and Driggs Hill (South Andros).

Rental Cars

You must be 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license for all rentals. Visitors may use their home driver’s license for up to three months or an international driver's license. But remember, when you take to the road, please keep to the left. Pedestrians should remember to look right then left before crossing streets.
