Getting Around
Bimini is so small that cars are limited. Bus and taxi service is available by telephone, radio (VHF channel 68), or you can flag one down on the street. They are also stationed at the airport to meet incoming flights and at the docks. The main form of rental transportation available on the island is a golf cart. You can also rent a bicycle or a moped to get around. Bimini Tram operates daily between 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Frequent scheduled ferry service is available between North and South Bimini. The fare is $2 each way. |
Rental CarsYou must be 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license for all rentals. Visitors may use their home driver’s license for up to three months or an international driver's license. But remember, when you take to the road, please keep to the left. Pedestrians should remember to look right then left before crossing streets. Bus & TaxisFares on South Bimini range from $3.00-$5.00 per person. On North Bimini the fare is $5 per person. The Bimini Tram is $3 for Adults/$1 for Children. |
